The planet Sheba, in the Ashur system, has a characteristic that is, so far, unique amongst all of the habitable worlds in the Pleiades. Due to a constant radiation field, inhabitants undergo a minor mutation, usually after two to four years. Their skin begins to take on an almost yellow color which eventually turns to a golden brown and finally an actual golden color. Those born on Sheba are almost always born with this condition but it is much more pronounced. Eventually, those born on the planet & even those that arrive & live there for a number of years, find that their skin has turned an almost metallic golden color. Thus far, scientists have been unable to determine the exact nature of the radiation field or any other side effects of the mutation but it is clear that it does not affect the fertility of the population.
